Sister also attended Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Mass. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Upper Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Loyola University, New Orleans, LA. Sister Laura, born Dolores Cecile Melancon in Lafayette, LA on January 30, 1935, the only child of the late J. She was 87 years old and in the 69th year of her religious profession.
